The Institute for Science and Technology ("INSI") is an institution that specializes in research, analysis, and studies in spatial and urban planning, housing, environment, transport, economics, finance, geography, sociology, construction engineering, civil engineering, electricity, thermal energy, telecommunications, waste management, architects, lawyers and other professions, experienced in preparing plans, projects and programs to improve the technical, transport, public, social or economic infrastructure of our respective clients.
In addition to the internal experts, "INSI" engages up to 100 professional associates with external resources with specific expertise depending on the needs of our clients. Experts at "INSI" are committed and trusted partners of local or central government institutions, international or civil society organizations, and private companies.
The Institute for Science and Technology "INSI" leadership and team members adhere to the highest standards of integrity, ethics, quality, and accountability throughout our work experience. "INSI" has a long working experience with most municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo, drafting their Municipal Development Plans, Municipal Zoning Maps, Urban Mobility Plans, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Environmental Impact Assessment, and PFI, PPP, or other economic feasibility studies, including energy efficient public lighting for some of them. "INSI" is also licensed for environmental studies and has already prepared dozens of Environmental Impact Assessments and Strategic Environmental Assessments.
"INSI" has also worked in the field of Economic Development by treating it with all topics when drafting of Municipal Development Plans but also conducting economic feasibility studies for industrial areas.
Besides several feasibility studies for residential areas in Ferizaj, "INSI" is currently working for GIZ on a Feasibility Study for the Economic Zone in Prizren.v "INSI" has also completed the Feasibility Study for Electronic monitoring of persons whose movement is limited by the court's decision for the territory of Kosovo in cooperation with OSCE. "INSI" also has expertise in drafting Sustainable Urban and Municipal Mobility Plans as well as spatial and environmental planning at the national level.v In addition to providing the services mentioned above, the Institute of Science and Technology "INSI" is specialized in designing and supervising engineering, architectural or environmental projects, and similar construction projects.v Throughout our experience providing professional support to local institutions (various municipalities) and the national level (various ministries) in their efforts to prepare binding spatial documents, we have been able to identify policies, obligations and areas related to residential area, which are the added value of "INSI".
"INSI" has worked with an EU project (EULUP and IRUSP) providing spatial and digital data for the Republic of Kosovo territory valid for this study and is currently assisting the Municipality of Gjilan, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Ferizaj and Prishtina in the preparation of either the Municipal Development Plan or the Municipal Zonal Map; therefore, we have a broad geodatabase but also a clear understanding of the area of residence (supply and demand).
"INSI" is a member of the International Association of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) based in The Hague, the Netherlands.v "INSI" is an Institutional Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, based in Pristina.
"INSI" has a cooperation agreement in the professional field and capacity building of students with the University of Prizren "Ukshin Hoti", a cooperation agreement with the Albanian Institute of Sociology, based in Tirana. These agreements also include our future cooperation in implementing various contracted projects as separate or joint entities. The future goals and objectives of "INSI" are further expanding our services in international organizations and projects.
In close cooperation with "Aleksandër Moisiu University" of Durrës, "Fan S. Noli University" of Korça, the Albanian Institute of Sociology, and several other institutions, "INSI" has co-organized the 4th International Conference of Balkan Sociological Forum (BSF) "BALKANS - COMPARATIVE AND INTEGRATIVE APPROACH" & 15th International Interdisciplinary Conference: "COMPARATIVE STUDIES IN MODERN SOCIETY; THE BALKANS IN A EUROPEAN AND GLOBAL CONTEXT".
"INSI" has also co-organized in cooperation with: University of Korca "Fan S.
